Education Justice Project

The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is taking a new approach on Educational Justice:

THE JUSTICE PROJECT | Blog | Education Justice Project

The mission of the Education Justice project is to build a model college-in-prison program that demonstrates the positive impacts of higher education upon incarcerated people, their families, the communities from which they come, the host institution, and society as a whole.

We are committed to building an open, inclusive learning environment and to transparent, collaborative governance. We also believe that critical self-reflection is an important part of creating and sustaining a healthy program climate.

We welcome you to our website and invite you to join our work!

Their website features stories about their students, instructors, and alumni, as well as a way to get involved with the program. We applaud their efforts and approach and hope to find a way to partner with them soon.
