Barringer manages his family’s farm and works as a pro bono lawyer representing people with disabilities. Regarding abortion access, Barringer has said, “The law should not be an impediment to a woman making the health care choices she needs to make with her doctor.” Barringer is endorsed by Young Democrats of NC and the Wake County Voter Education Coalition.

Knott currently represents the 13th district in Congress. Knott said he supported the United States Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade. He says he supports “state laws protecting the unborn.” He is endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and President Trump.
