Biography
Warren has served on the Oakland County Circuit Court since 2002. A podcaster and TV personality, Warren has also taught at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and Wayne State University. Warren is a former member of the Michigan State Board of Education. Warren said he “interprets the law as written” and has an “unwavering commitment to fairness.” Warren grew up in Detroit.

Abortion Access
MICHAEL WARREN: Warren is nominated by the Michigan Republican Party, which has opposed abortion access. Warren said on a 2022 podcast that, based on his judicial philosophy, the U.S. Supreme Court was legally correct to overturn Roe v. Wade, eliminating the federal constitutional right to abortion.
Education
MICHAEL WARREN: Warren has proposed turning school districts into “corporations” that sell “shares.” On the Michigan State Board of Education, he said he supported school voucher programs, which can increase school choice for parents but also reduce funding for public schools by sending taxpayer funds to private institutions.
