MICHAEL WARREN: Warren has proposed turning school districts into “corporations” that sell “shares.” On the Michigan State Board of Education, he said he supported school voucher programs, which can increase school choice for parents but also reduce funding for public schools by sending taxpayer funds to private institutions.

JODY WHITE: When White ran for school board, she wrote in a survey that she supported the state funding private schools through a voucher or scholarship system if the rules were “FAIR and JUST.”

MEGAN CAVANAGH: On procedural grounds, Cavanagh rejected a ruling that would have left Michigan with “no enforceable limits on PFAS in drinking water.” PFAS are long-lasting chemicals that have been linked to cancer and other health problems. Chemical manufacturer 3M argued that the state failed to provide an estimate of groundwater cleanup costs, violating a federal law called the Administrative Procedures Act. Cavanagh, in a procedural ruling, joined three other Michigan Supreme Court justices in asking an appeals court to reconsider the case, rather than affirming a decision in favor of 3M.

NOAH HOOD: Hood is endorsed by the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, which “works to protect the air, land, and water” in Michigan.
