Biography
Justice Hood was appointed to the Michigan Supreme Court in 2025. Hood previously served as a judge on the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Wayne County Circuit Court. He also worked as a prosecutor, focused on public corruption, opioid-related offenses, and fraud. Hood said that on the court, he is committed to “facts, fairness, integrity, and the rule of law.” Hood was born and raised in Detroit.
